1. Did you use a fluid line? Explain how this is evident ? - Yes, you can tell because every object is connected.
2. Explain your knowledge and creating practice with contour line contributed to the success of your piece. - I learnt that going slow and drawing as you follow your eyes is easier.
3. Describe the difference in your contour line drawing to an outline drawing. - in the contour line drawing there’s more detail and you don’t pick up your own.
4.Explain how your interpretation of line is essential in capturing the look of the room. - Making sure you get all the small details makes a difference in making it more similar to the room.
5. What did you learn from completing this drawing.
We did a value chart using drawing pencils, and drew shapes and shaded them.

STILL LIFE PROJECT-
Compositions-
In progress-
Final project-
1. Describe the craftsmanship of your drawing. (Is it clear, clean edges, blended well, smudges, defined space, etc.) -In my drawing there isn't that much negative space, the paper is mostly taken up. 2. Are your values and shadows realistic? How many values did you include? How and why are values important? - Yes, I'd say that my values and shadows are realistic, I added lots of different light and dark values. Values are important because it adds a sense of depth and shows when there are shadows and highlights making it look more realistic. 3. Is there a clear source of lighting? - There wasn't a clear source of lighting in the original picture, but I used highlights to make up for it. 4. How important were the compositional sketches? Explain. - The compositional sketches were important because it helped me get an idea of the shapes of the objects and where everything was placed. 5. How is your final drawing successful? - In the end the final product looked pretty similar to the actual picture, and the scarf was the most realistic element in my drawing. 6. Are the proportions, structure and perspective of the subject correct? - I think the proportions are mostly correct, you can tell which object is behind/ in front of another object. 7. Does the placement & grouping of objects create a pleasing arrangement (composition)? - Yes, there's not that many objects in the actual project, but there is a good balance of positive and negative space. 8. Is there a center of interest and is it well located? - Yes, the boot is the center of interest, its not right in the middle but it isnt far off.

Fabric Contour-
1. Did you use a wide range of values? Yes, I have a good variation of light to dark values in the drawing.
2. Explain how your knowledge and creating practice studies with value contributed to your piece. We did a lot of practice with working with different values and I think it helped with making the fabric look more realistic.
3. Describe the blending and transitions in your fabric. I could have made the blending more smoother but making sure the darks blend into the light values smoothly is important.
4. Explain how your interpretation of texture is essential in capturing the look of the object. The texture helps show what a certain object is so if you don’t get the texture right the it won’t look realistic.
5. If you could recreate your piece what would you do differently? I would make the blending more smoother.
Pastel Chalk Candy-
Facial Features-
-We took pictures of different candy in their wrappers and drew them using pastel chalk.
Self-portrait
1. Explain the process you went through to develop your drawing? I picked one facial feature at a time and drew each one until it became a full face. 2. Explain how you found the different values in the portrait? By the shading and the parts of my face the light hit. 3. Did you achieve a full range of different values within your portrait? How? Yes, I used a 4. Describe your craftsmanship. is the artwork crafted and executed neatly? 5. How were you able to capture your look? j made sure i added unique features on my face to the drawing to make it look more like me 6. Explain how you made sure you had correct facial placement? i only focused on one facial feature at a time and made a gird to make it easier to place the features in the correct place. 7. explain the importance of learning how to draw all of the features separately. It makes them all come together and make it look like one face and not all separate features from different faces. 8. what part of this unit was most beneficial and why? the practices of the eyes and hair, those are the most difficult to make look realistic. 9. List any obstacles you had to overcome and how you dealt with them.
Scratchboard-
1.Describe the subject matter and meaning of your artwork. 2. How did you use textures to enhance your work? i made the spiderweb look stringy. 3. how did you balance your artwork and create a well-organized composition? i made the spider the focus point of the project while trying not to make the spiderweb too much. 4. How did you imply movement in your artwork? i made it look like the spider was moving closer to you. 5. How could you improve your artwork? I could have added more detail/shading in the spiderweb to make it look more realistic and match better with the detailed spider. 6. How did you demonstrate a wide range of values? I scratched more where the light hits the spider so it shows more value within the project.
Drawing Reflection-
This class was one of my favorite art courses that i've taken during high school, throughout the semester I have learned and have gained so many art skills in such a short amount of time. We did a lot of different projects but I think my overall favorite project was the still life, it was my second time ever doing a still life drawing and i think it ended up being really successful. My least favorite project was the self portrait because of the amount of time it took. The self portrait was my first time ever drawing myself or anyone in that case, but i think in the end it turned out better then expected. Im thankful to have Mrs. Rossi as my teacher as she helped motivate me throughout the entire class.
